The 2 door Porsche Cayenne by UK company Merdad
UK Porsche tuners Merdad have produced a two door Porsche Cayenne offering 750bhp.
What’s a Merdad, you may well ask? Well, a Merdad is not a what, it’s a he. He ran the Gemballa franchise in the UK – rather successfully – but as Uwe Gemballa has gone on an extended African holiday and his eponymous company is in liquidation Merdad had to get a shake on to create his company’s future. So what better than another eponymous company producing extreme Porsches? Worked for Uwe.
The first offering from the new Merdad is a Porsche Cayenne – but with only two doors. And you can have it based on either the latest Cayenne or the previous generation, complete with an Alcantara-fest interior and a body kit that fits the Gemballa mould.
Thankfully – as with most extreme Porsche creations – the saving grace is the additional power. Merdad has tweaked and fettled the Cayenne to produce 750bhp, doubtless in exactly the same way as Gemballa managed with the Gemballa Tornado 750 GTS.
There’s a void in the market place now that Uwe Gemballa has taken an extended vacation, so we hope Merdad can fill that void. He certainly has the expertise and knowledge of the market
