Infiniti has released prices for the diesel version of the FX – the Infiniti FX30d. Prices start at £43,150 and deliveries commence in July
Infiniti always knew that selling cars in Europe was a whole different ballgame to moving metal in the US. Although there are plenty of petrol-heads here who love a V8 and more, the majority have the common sense to opt for a diesel option when given the choice.
But when Infiniti launched here last year they had no diesel option, but some swift manouvering in Nissan produced a diesel engine for the Infiniti range which we revealed in February. And now we get some pricing detail for the FX diesel.
The diesel engine going in to the Infiniti FX30d is a 3.0 litre V6, 235bhp with 406lb/ft. of torque, which sounds like – at least from an economy / performance balance – should suit the sport SUV quite well. It offers 0-62mph in 8.3 seconds but returns an average 31.4mpg. Realo world will be around 27-28mpg but for a big-ish sport SUV that’s not too terrible.
Prices have come in almost the same as the petrol V6 FX. Full FX price list below and we’ll update with some real world gen on the diesel Infiniti FX if we ever manage to get hold of one for a road test.
