Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration previews Infiniti’s new SUV

The Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration is teased ahead of a Beijing Motor Show debut, previewing a next-generation Infiniti SUV.

The Beijing Motor Show starts in a couple of weeks time, so Infiniti’s photographers managed to grab a candle to take a picture of their offering for Beijing – the Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration – as a shadowy image showing just some vague detail of its nearside front.

Not only does the photo of the QX Sport Inspiration give little away, nor does Infiniti’s press release.

Infiniti call this a ‘first glimpse’ of a daring new mid-sized premium SUV, inspired by Infiniti’s ‘Powerful Elegance’ design philosophy and is reminiscent of the recent Q60 Concept, with floating A-pillars and extra wide wheel arches.

What little Infiniti are revealing tends to suggest the QX Sport previews a long overdue replacement for the QX70, and if it is it seems likely we’ll see a production model arrive later in 2016 looking much the same as the QX Sport.

Press days for the Beijing Motor Show start on 25 April, so if we haven’t already had full details on the Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration we’ll get them then.
