Jaguar F-Pace SUV gets a special film to celebrate its 70 awards – Blacklight
Jaguar are celebrating the success of its F-Pace SUV and its 70 awards to date with a new film called ‘Blacklight’ showcasing what makes the F-Pace special.
Ever since Tata took control at Jaguar Land Rover, it’s been the Land Rover bit that’s driven sales as the world has fallen more and more in love with SUVs.So it was no real surprise when the Jaguar F-Pace arrived two years ago as Jaguar’s first SUV with a more road-focussed take on what has made Land Rover so successful.
The F-Pace has transformed Jaguar’s sales as the new SUV brings fresh buyers to the marque, and its success has also spawned a baby brother – the Jaguar E-Pace SUV – and an electric i-Pace SUV to take on cars like the Tesla Model X.
The success of the F-Pace has seen a plethora of awards coming its way – 70 so far – including 2017 World Car of the Year and 2016 Women’s World Car of the Year, so Jaguar think it’s time to celebrate the F-Pace’s glory.
They’ve commissioned a new film they’ve called ‘Blacklight (below) which shows thousands of paint droplets dropping on the car, followed by a giant fan forcing the water and paint to follow its curves, beautifully highlighting the flow in the process.
Ian Callum. Jaguar’s design guru, said:
We set out to break the mould with our first performance SUV and everyone at Jaguar is thrilled with how well the F-PACE design has been received around the world. After winning 70 awards we wanted to create a film that reflects both its critically acclaimed design and the engineering that underpins everything we do at Jaguar. The result is as dramatic as the vehicle itself.
It’s all rather pretty to watch.
