Jaguar F-Type Coupe glitzy L.A. debut video & photos

The Jaguar F-Type Coupe had a high profile, celebrity studded, high speed debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. We have video and photos.

Jaguar promised the new F-Type Coupe would get a proper high-profile reveal on the eve of the Los Angeles Auto Show, and they certainly delivered.

Jaguar’s design guru – Ian Callum – had told Jaguar’s PR people that he wanted the debut to be at speed, and that was achieved by driving the F-Type Coupe in to a specially prepared warehouse in California at 100mph, cutting a swathe through a series of sharp spotlights as the F-Type arrived in the arena.

Waiting for the F-Type Coupe was a selection of ‘Hollywood Brits’ including Simon Cowell, David Gandy, George Lazenby, Jodie Kidd and anyone Jaguar could think of with ‘Celebrity’ and Brit’ on their CV.

It was a proper high=profile arrival for the F-Type Coupe, and a great way to give celebrity fixated America a bit of high-adrenaline Jaguar showboating.

Fortunately, the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe was up to the challenge of being the climax of such an OTT arrival, especially with the news that the range-topping F-Type Coupe is actually the 542bhp F-Type R Coupe.

A good time appears to have been had by all.
