LaFerrari Aperta promo video with Sebastian Vettel
LaFerrari Aperta is the convertible version of LaFerrari, with just 70 being built and all sold. Despite which Ferrari release a promo video with Sebastian Vettel.
It’s only a few months since LaFerrari Aperta was revealed as the convertible take on LaFerrari Coupe, adding an extra layer of ‘must have’ for the world’s ludicrously wealthy petrolheads.
Mechanically identical to LaFerrari, the Aperta gets the same 950bhp from its electric motor and glorious V12, enough for 0-62mph in around 3.0 seconds.
Chassis strengthening means the Aperta is as rigid as the Coupe, and comes with a removable carbon fibre hard top or a removable soft top.
How many are actually being made is seemingly a movable feast, with claims from just 70 to as many as 150. And the price is more than a little vague too, but it’s very north of £1 million. And they’re all sold out. Probably.
Which makes you wonder why Ferrari would bother delivering a proper promo video for LaFerrari Aperta, dragging Sebastian Vettel away from hanging on to Mercedes and Red Bull on track to play model driver.
Still, it makes for a pretty video, with reflections of the Aperta cementing its place in Ferrari’s history, on the road and on the track, as Vettel covers all the cliches from beautiful women to glorious open roads and the track.
Watching LaFerrari Aperta Video won’t be the biggest waste of 2:30s you’ve ever had.
