In the run up to the Geneva Motor Show this year – and beyond – we had a flurry of news from Lamborghini. First came the news of the Lp670-4 SV – the new ‘Poster’ car for this generation – followed by the reveal of the Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster. Then the official launch of the PL670-4 SV at Geneva. Also in the mix was the four door Lamborghini – The Estoque – which came and then went almost as quickly, and finally the news that Lamborghini was making a Reventon Roadster.
But, apart from a new set of pictures of the Lamborghini LP670-4 SV a few weeks ago, we’ve had nothing new. But now we have something to ponder on – why has Lamborghini not shown us what the LP670-4 SV looks like without the optional rear wing? Is it because it’s none too exciting? Your call!
This picture, which turned up today on GT Spirit, shows a standard spec Lamborghini LP670-4 SV. It’s the first time we’ve seen the car without its £5,000 optional ‘Big’Wing’. Every single image Lamborghini has released – and the Lamborghini Official LP670-4SV action video – has had the super-wing on the back. Did they think the standard car wouldn’t be dramatic enough? Hardly.
But it does look very different.
