Lamborghini Vitola ELECTRIC supercar on the way
German media are reporting that Lamborghini are developing a new electric supercar – the Lamborghini Vitola – based on the EV powertrain of the Porsche Mission E.
There’s never a huge amount going on in the car world at the end of the summer, and before the European car show, so the idea that there’s an electric Lamborghini on the way – called the Lamborghini Vitola – may be a more guesswork than research from German media. But that’s exactly what Autobild are claiming in a new video (below), with the new Electric Lamborghini even being given the Vitola moniker (we can’t find a bull called Vitola, the usual basis for a Lamborghini name).
Autobild tell us that the electric powertrain which will underpin the Vitola will be borrowed from the Porsche Mission E, with the 600bhp it delivers able to get the much lighter Vitola to 62mph in 2.5 seconds.
What we can’t work out is whether Autobild see the Vitola as a limited run Lamborghini – a Lamborghini version of cars like the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari – or whether they see it as a mainstream model.
If this is to be a limited run electric hypercar from Lamborghini, it will be very much against Lamborghini’s usual route of titivating an Aventador and charging ludicrous money.
But if Lambo buyers are prepared to stump up millions for a titivate Aventador, what on earth will they be prepared to pay for a properly bespoke, limited run electric Lamborghini hypercar?
If your German’s good enough, the Autobild video report is below.

Should go down a treat in Dubai in that horrible gold finish.
