Land Rover celebrate the Chinese Year of the dog with new ‘Pet Packs’
Land Rover and Range Rover models get a new range of dog-friendly accessories as Land Rover celebrate the Chinese Year of the dog with new ‘Pet Packs’.
We recently had the arrival of a Paw Pack for the Nissan X-Trail as Nissan woke up to the reality that a huge chunk of their buyers transport their dogs wherever they go.What’s a surprise is that more car makers don’t make a big deal of dog-friendly fittings for their cars, but now Land Rover – whose cars are most certainly full of dogs if bought by country folk – are playing the dog friendly card with a new range of Pet Packs.
Not quite in the all-encompassing offering Nissan managed, Land Rover is nevertheless offering dog stuff for their owners, choosing today, the first day of the Chinese Year of the Dog, to give them a push.
There’s a boot liner or rubber mat to keep mud and soggy fur off the boot floor, a full height partition to keep your pooches off the back seats and, as Land Rover points out, if you’ve got a model with air suspension it can be lowered to make life easier for your dogs.
But this is Land Rover, so there’s money to be made from ‘Designer’ goodies too, so as well as stuff like a Land Rover dog bowl, you can also grab a selection of Barbour goodies for your canine friends including a Bandana, dog harness, collar and lead, dog bed and, unsurprisingly, a Barbour wax Jacket for your four-legged ‘Rover’.
The new Pet Packs cost from £455 to £618 depending on model, and from £534 to £623 if you want them with a liner tray.
Or you could just use an old double duvet and change the cover every few days.
