McLaren 570GT by McLaren Special Operations
A McLaren 570 GT Concept from McLaren Special Operations (MSO) is heading for Pebble Beach as McLaren showcases what MSO can do for the 570GT.
The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the place to be if you’re a car maker with a high-end product to shift, so delivering a special one-off concept of the new McLaren 570GT put together by McLaren’s Special Operations (MSO) to parade in front of Pebble’s wealthy petrolheads is a very good way to go.Not only does an MSO 570GT promote what can be done by McLaren MSO (at a cost, and very profitably) it demonstrates that buyers of the 570GT may be buying a prêt-à-porter supercar, but they can turn it in to an almost haute couture one by opening their bank accounts to MSO.
This one-off 570GT gets a nice loud MSO titanium exhaust system for new aural delights that are both richer and more characterful, as well as heat shields which turn from gold to purple as the system heats up.
The paint job is in Elite Pearl White and this 570GT has the MSO Piano Black Package which means contrasting black for stuff like the wheels, side vents and sills.
The exterior mods are completed with a glass roof which gets an electro-chromatic interlayer, so instead of fixed opacity you can, at the flick of a switch, turn the roof from clear glass to almost black.
The interior comes with a ‘By McLaren’ interior in Saddle Tan with a 12-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system, Carbon Fibre Interior Pack and a rich gloss lacquer.
McLaren MSO’s Paul Mackenzie said:
…closely following the reveal of the GT addition to the Sports Series family, we showcase the breadth of McLaren Special Operations personalisation work, this time focussing on bespoke engineering design and components.
With its Electro Chromic Roof especially, the McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept would be well suited to the needs and demands of customers in sunnier and warmer climates.
And what better place than Pebble to show potential McLaren buyers just how much money they can actually spend on a McLaren 570GT if they try really hard?
