The recently revealed McLaren 570S – McLaren’s new entry-level car – will be on sale soon, ahead of which you can configure your own 570S with McLaren’s new configurator.
In the world of supercars, the new McLaren 570S is an ‘entry-level’ model, the starting point for a McLaren range that encompasses the near £1 million P1 (although you can’t actually buy a P1 any more).
Entry-level the 570S may be, but at a starting price of £143,250 it’s not exactly mainstream, and although to those with very deep pockets the 570S may seem the ‘cheap’ McLaren, to the rest of us it’s still (almost) house money.
Still, one of the joys of the Interwebs is that we can all play at being we’re something we’re not, so if you want t0 pretend you can afford a new McLaren 570S then McLaren has the perfect toy for you – the McLaren 570S Configurator.
What you won’t get is any power options – the 570S gets the de-tuned 3.8 litre V8 good for 562bhp, 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds and 204 mph – but you will be able to choose most everything else.
That includes a selection of 17 colours – from Slilica White to Onyx Black by way of Mantis Green and Volcano Yellow – half a dozen wheel options with a variety of caliper colours, carbon ceramic discs, Carbon Fibre options for lots of the exterior, lots of interior trim options and lots of accessories too. And that’s before you start on the MSO stuff.
A great time waster.
