Mercedes-Benz has revealed a single tease image on their Facebook page of what appears to be an autonomous car heading for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Mercedes teases autonomous car for CES
The car world and its dog (and Google) are busy developing autonomous driving cars to take away from the driving experience the one bit that can’t be properly controlled – the driver.
Mercedes seems to be playing both routes, with the recent autonomous S Class making an appearance in Germany, and now a new Mercedes Concept for Autonomous driving teased (above) ahead of a debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Mercedes aren’t giving much away, but the single image shows a sleek profile with short overhangs, which looks to have bags of interior space, and what appears to be sensors on the roof to guide the car.
It seems likely – as this is a ‘Futuristic’ Mercedes – that it’s going to be powered by an electric motor or two, either battery-powered or with a hydrogen fuel cell.
But we’ll find out more when the Consumer Electronics Show kicks off next week in Las Vegas.
