Alfa Romeo doesn’t have a huge amount to play with at the moment with its range in flux and plans to boost sales with new models.

But although range-topping cars are not big sellers, they are good to shine a performance glow on the brand, which is why the Alfa Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde and MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde (that’s the MiTo and Giulietta Cloverleaf to you an me) arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Now both are about to go on sale in the UK, so we get prices and specs.

The more interesting of the two is the Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde because it gets back the engine it lent to the new 4C complete with the changes the 4C got, which means 237bhp and a 6-speed ALFA TCT ‘box too, with launch control producing a 0-62mph of just 6.0 seconds whilst delivering sound from Alfa’s QV Intake Engine Sound system.

Cloverleaf updates for the Giulietta include big twin tailpipes, lowered suspension. 18″ alloys, Brembo callipers, side skirts, parking sensors, flat-bottomed steering wheel with flappy paddles and contrast stitching, leather and Alcantara sports seats, new instruments and Uconnect 6.5″ Touchscreen with DAB, SatNav, Bluetooth and Voice.

The Alfa MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde cones with the 1.4 litre MultiAir mated to Alfa’s six-speed TCT dual-clutch auto ‘box which cleverly makes it more economical and quicker – it now gets to 62mph in 7.3 seconds.

The Cloverleaf updates on the MiTo include Brembo callipers, Adaptive Suspension, 18″ Cloverleaf alloys, new back bumper, flat-bottomed steering wheel with flappy paddles, Alfa logo on the seats, Uconnect with TomTom SatNav, DAB, Bluetooth and Voice and burnished trim on the exterior.

Both the MiTo and Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde will make their UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and go on sale on 1st July.

The Alfa Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde costs from £28,120 (with a Launch Edition with carbon fibre bits and new side skirts costing £30,280) and the Alfa MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde costing from £20,120.
