New Audi A1 arrives earlier than Audi planned
The new Audi A1 has been leaked online ahead of Audi’s planned reveal of their supermini, showing a more aggressive, more upmarket A1.
The Audi A1 is a bit of an oddity, selling more on its badge than its abilities. But Audi are hoping to change that with the new A1 and are planning a reveal very shortly. But a Belgian web site has thrown a bit of a spanner in to Audi’s plans.
Autotijd in Belgium has published a set of photos today of the new Audi A1 (which certainly seem to be the real deal) showing a new Audi A 1 which certainly looks a lot more sporty than the current car (although it is a range-topping A1 40 TFSI S Line), even featuring three slats above the grille just like the original Sport quattro.
It also looks like the new A1 – which gets evolutionary styling despite ist new platform – is going to be offering more customisation too, with this car featuring a bright yellow paint job and contrasting roof.
Inside goes more ‘upmarket’ too, with this car (although perhaps not lesser models) featuring what looks to be higher quality materials and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, and from what we can see the nw A1 grows in size too. Which is not necessarily a good thing.
Now we know what the new Audi A1 looks like, we just have to wait for Audi to do their official reveal to get the details.
