The production version of the new BMW M4 GTS has been revealed with a £121,770 price tag, extreme bodykit and a 493bhp straight six. Just 30 for the UK.
Following a debut as a concept at Pebble Beach earlier this year, the new BMW M4 GTS has arrived as a production model complete with a huge price tag – £121,770 – extreme body kit and a straight six that delivers 493bhp – enough for a 62mph sprint in just 3.8 seconds. The ultimate M4, the GTS will be a run of just 700 cars worldwide – 30 of which are coming to the UK – and it should be special at a price that would buy you a pair of regular M4s (and leave change).
That special price buys you an M4 with a 3.0 litre straight six delivering 493bhp thanks, in no small part, to water injection for the turbos, hooked up to a seven-speed M DCT gearbox, a combination good enough for 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 190mph.
Externally, the M4 GTS has an ‘in yer face’ body kit which includes an adjustable front splitter, carbon fibre bonnet and adjustable rear wing, CFRP boot lid, carbon fibre diffuser, titanium exhaust, M light alloy wheels, LED headlights and OLED tail lights, as well as three-way coilover suspension and adaptive damping.
Inside is familiar M4 territory but with carbon-fibre bucket seats in the front and the option of a ClubSport package that with six-point harnesses and a roll-over cage in case you want to seriously play.
The new BMW M4 GTS goes on sale in the UK in March 2016, after a debut at the Tokyo Motor Show at the end of the month.
