The new Honda NSX – Honda’s Hybrid Supercar – will start to arrive with customers later in 2016, as Honda reveal the NSX will cost £130,000 in the UK.
It’s over a year since the Honda NSX was revealed (as the Acura NSX in the US) in production guise, and now we finally know how much it’ll cost to buy an NSX in the UK – £130,000.Honda say Europe (and the UK – just in case we end up not in Europe) will be the leading export region for the new NSX, and that the NSX will be available through a limited network of Honda dealers (no surprise there), with first deliveries of customer cars scheduled for autumn 2016.
The NSX promises much, and will need to be exceptional to carry the mantle of performance and usability the original NSX created, but everything we know about the new NSX looks to points to Honda making the new car as impressive as the original was.
Power for the new NSX comes from a 3.5 litre twin turbo V6 mated to electric motors and delivering around 550bhp.
The hybrid power is sent to all four wheels through a nine-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, with four driving modes available – Quiet, Sport, Sport+ and Track – and performance of 0-62mph in a scant 2.9 seconds.
All the new NSXs will be built at Honda’s Performance Manufacturing Centre (PMC) in Marysville, Ohio.
