Ahead of a debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show, Kia is back with a new tease for the new Soul, with a profile image of the exterior.
Last week we had a tease for the new Kia Soul, but all we got was a a tight image of the side of the back end and nothing much more.
Now, just a week away from the new Soul’s debut at the Los Angles Motor Show, the new Kia Soul is back for a bit more of a tease, this time with the whole of the side of the new car, and a glimpse at the interior, although only the new infotainment screen.
The new exterior image does show us that Kia are evolving the looks, but it really does look very much like an evolution rather than any major styling change, although the new Kia appears a bit more rounded at the edges and with slim headlights defining a new face.
Inside is expected to go a bit more upmarket with new materials and additional tech, and we get a single image of a new infotainment screen with what looks to be a touchscreen fitted with physical quick access buttons below.
The styling may only be gently evolving, but under the skin the new Soul will be sitting on the same platform as the Kona, and its engine options are expected to be 1.0 litre and 1.6 litre petrols plus an EV.
It’s all a bit guesswork at the moment, but it is rumoured the UK and Europe will only get an electric Soul, with the money on it being a Hobson’s choice of the 39kWh version sitting under the Kona.
But all will be revealed in the next week.
