New Lexus UX heading for Goodwood FoS
The new Lexus UX, a compact Urban SUV, debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in the Spring and is heading for its world dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The Lexus UX arrived at the Geneva Motor Show as Lexus continues to grow its SUV offerings, this time with an appealing urban SUV aimed, no doubt, at a younger demographic than the usual Lexus target. That said, all the Lexus design cues of its bigger NX sibling are there, with a big spindle grille leaving you in no doubt the UX is a Lexus, and an interior which looks to continue the standard we expect from Lexus, despite a lower price point.
The UX on display – and in action – at Goodwood will be the UX 250h hybrid in F Sport guise with higher efficiency and more powerful electric motor, and although it’s not going to set any hillclimb records it’s going to be interesting to see it in the flesh and on the move.
On show with the UX on the Lexus stand at Goodwood will be the LC 500 V8 Coupe, NX and RX F Sports, the seven-seat RX L, the recent RC F 10th Anniversary model, the RC 300h Black Edition and the LS 500h.
Lexus will also be putting the RC F GT3 up the hill, and the LFA and RC F will be heading up the hillclimb in the hands of Abbie Eaton and Jack Hawksworth.
Lexus UK’s Ewan Shepherd said:
We’re really excited that British car fans will be amongst the first in the world to get up close to the Lexus UX. It will be a really important car for us in the UK, giving a whole new sector of car buyers the opportunity to experience legendary Lexus quality as well as the brave design and craftsmanship built into every one of our cars.
