New Mercedes-AMG GLC43 SUV
The Mercedes-AMG GLC43 SUV, and its Coupe Sibling, get a refresh with cosmetic tweaks and more power for the 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine.
Another day, another new Mercedes SUV. Well, a refreshed Mercedes SUV in the guise of the new Mercedes-AMG GLC43 SUV and its Coupe sibling, getting some cosmetic titivation and a bit more power. The ‘I couldn’t afford the GLC63’ model’s headline act is a nudge towards the AMG63’s V8 output with an increase in power, thanks to a bit of an ECU tweak, taking power up by 23bhp to 385bhp, although torque stays the same at 369lb/ft.
Despite the upping of power Mercedes say the new AMG GLC43 scoots to 62mph in the same 4.9 seconds, and it still sends power to all four wheels through a nine-speed auto ‘box.

New Mercedes-AMG GLC43 Coupe
Cosmetically the new GLC43 moves in the direction of the GLC63 too, with a new angry AMG Panamericana grille up front to loom in the mirrors of the car in front, new light graphics front and back, titivated bumpers, new alloys and four round tail pipes.
Inside comes up to date with more screens as the GLC43 acquires the latest Mercedes MBUX operating system, and an updated steering wheel for control the system.
Mercedes hasn’t come up with a price for the new GLC43 and Coupe yet, but expect prices to kick off at around £50k when the 43 siblings arrive in the UK at the end of the year.
