New Nissan LEAF ONLINE ordering opens in the UK
The 2018 Nissan LEAF – Nissan’s completely new EV – is now available to order online in the UK, although only for the LEAF 2.ZERO for now.
Nissan already has 10,000 orders in Europe for the new generation LEAF EV, and now it’s opening up online ordering in the UK to add to those numbers. In the same week as the new Nissan LEAF went in to production in Sunderland, Nissan is aiming to make it as easy as possible for buyers to bag a new LEAF whilst they’re whiling away time online.
Unfortunately, for now at least, the only model you can buy is the LEAF 2.ZERO, which costs £26,490 after you factor in the taxpayer bribe, and it’s only available in a choice of Pearl Black and Spring Cloud.
Nissan say they plan to reveal prices for the new LEAF in early January, and then we would expect the full range of LEAF models to become available online.
But the £26.5k you’ll have to part with for the LEAF 2.ZERO is an indication of where prices will sit, as Nissan say it sits between the mid-grade N-Connecta and range-topping Tekna.
The online ordering for the LEAF is not an entirely seamless, cover all the bases, setup, as once you’ve filled in the details Nissan asks for you’ll be contacted by a local dealer to finalise the deal.
But if you want a new LEAF in quick sticks, the LEAF 2.ZERO will start to be delivered in the UK to customers in February 2018.
