New Renault Clio interior revealed
The new Renault Clio is getting a much more upmarket interior in the new model, revealed ahead of the Clio’s debut this week.
There’s a new Renault Clio on the way – due to be revealed tomorrow – but ahead of the full reveal Renault is delivering the thing they’re most proud of in the new Clio – its new interior. The Clio is Renault’s best-selling car, but with competition like the Ford Fiesta and VW Polo to contend with it’s having to up its game with the new model. And, from what we can see, the interior looks as good as anything the competition can offer.
The in yer face bit is the new 9.3″ portrait infotainment screen front and centre, angled towards the driver, slightly curved and promising to be as good as a high-end smartphone screen and delivering information, connectivity, mapping and more. But Renault has, thankfully, done the sensible thing and given the HVAC its own rotary knob controls for ease of use on the move.
Accompanying the big tablet screen is a digital instrument panel – 7″ or 10″ depending on spec – there’s a wireless charging pad for smartphones and a new, shorter, gear lever.
Renault has also delivered slimmer seats to give back seat passengers an touch more knee room, and the promise is that the materials you touch will have a soft feel, with the hardworking harsh plastics kept away from the touch zone.
Renault are also offering a range of customisation packs for the new Clio, with eight interior designs on offer, as well as ambient lighting in eight different colours.
More on the new Renault Clio when it’s officially revealed this week.
