The new Renault ZOE S Edition arrives to top Renault’s EV range, with added equipment and more technology. On sale now from £19,270.
If you want a good little EV for running around town, the Renault ZOE EV isn’t a bad bet. And now there’s a new range-topping take – the Renault ZOE S Edition.
Renault say the ZOE S delivers a host of extra stuff at a small premium over the ZOE Dynamique Nav, and the headline is a well-equipped EV with 186 mile range from just £19,270. But more on that in a moment.
The ZOE S comes with BOSE Sound with DAB, rear parking camera, leather and cloth seats, 16″ alloys (17″ are a no-cost option) as well as the stuff you get on the ZOE Dynamique Nav like keyless keycard, rear parking sensors, auto lights and wipers, climate, Sat Nav and 7″ infotainment screen.
Now back to the price and range.
The headline price for the ZOE S is an appealing £19,260, although that’s after the PiCG grant. Still, that’s the price you pay.
But there is more than a single ZOE S powertrain option, with the more powerful S Edition 110 the cheaper and the less powerful ZOE S Edition Q90 costing from £20,020. But that’s because the S Edition Q90 comes with 43kWh charging ability which, say Renault, gives you an 80 per cent charge in just over and hour, delivering a summer range of 186 miles and a winter one of 124 miles.
However, Renault are still persisting with their battery lease programme, so in addition to the headline prices for the ZOE S you’ll need to fork out at least another £59 a month for battery lease.
Choose to actually buy the ZOE S complete with your very own battery and you’ll be spending either £25,870 or £26,620 (after PiCG) depending on whether you want fast charging or more power.
You pays your money…
