New Vauxhall Corsa goes on sale in the UK
The new Vauxhall Corsa goes on sale in the UK with prices starting at £15,500 for the Corsa 1.2i SE petrol. Arrives in showrooms January 2020.
Vauxhall has done the launch of the new Corsa backwards to the norm, with the new electric Corsa already on sale in the UK. But now it’s time for the ICE Corsas to join in as Vauxhall announces prices and specs for the ICE models.Based on the same platform as the new Peugeot 208, now PSA is at the helm of Vauxhall, the starting point for the range is the 74bhp Corsa 1.2i petrol and, Corsa EV apart, runs up to a chunky £25,990 for the range-topping Corsa Ultimate with eight-speed auto and 99bhp 1.2i engine.
There’s no shortage of trim levels (too many) with SE, SE Nav, SE Premium, SE Nav Premium, SRi, SRi Nav, SRi Premium, SRi Nav Premium, Elite Nav, Elite Nav Premium and Ultimate.
Add in those models offering an eight-speed auto ‘box (the 1.2i 99bhp models) and you can add another seven variants, plus there’s a choice of 1.2 petrol with 99bhp or 74bhp, and a 1.5 diesel with 101bhp available on every trim level except the Corsa Ultimate.
Standard SE Spec includes 16″ alloys, 7″ touchscreen radio’ LED headlights and running lights and flat-bottomed steering wheel, with SRi models adding electric rear windows, tinted windows, LED tail lights, Sport Mode, Parking Sensors, Chrome tail pipes and more.
Elite Nav adds stuff like Sat Nav, Rear View Camera, cloth and fake leather trim, Winter Pack and Sight and Light Pack, and the Ultimate adds 17″ alloys, 10″ touchscreen, Leather, Keyless, Matrix Headlights, Climate and Radar Pack.
If you can navigate your way through the plethora of model choices, the Corsa looks a decent little car.
