Nissan IMk Concept
The Nissan IMk Concept is revealed as an electric compact urban car pointing at the future direction of Nissan’s design and EV plans.
It’s still surprising that Nissan hasn’t managed to cash-in on the massive lead they had in electric cars thanks to their perseverance with the Nissan LEAF. But they haven’t.But things are now moving a bit more swiftly at Nissan to get more electric cars to market, and you can expect a new electric Nissan LEAF SUV next year. But more will follow.
And what will follow will probably be a production version of this – the Nissan IMk Concept – which Nissan has revealed today and which, they say, has chic design with cutting-edge tech and lively amounts of acceleration.
Nissan also say the IMk Concept hints at the new direction in design language and, they say, is a design which stands out from any other car in the sector.
Built on a new EV platform, the IMk Concept does look like its set to turn in to a global production model as Nissan seeks to entice city dwellers with a cheaper electric car with individual looks, lots of connectivity, even if it does look rather like a JDM Kei car.
That new platform is also likely to underpin more electric Nissans as Nissan finally get a shake on with more EVs.
We’ll have more details by the time the IMk Concept debuts t the Tokyo Motor Show.
