Nissan X-Trail X-Scape complete with its own drone
Nissan has revealed a special edition of the X-Trail – the Nissan X-Trail X-Scape – which comes complete with a drone for recording family adventures.
It’s three years since the current Nissan X-Trail arrived, with new looks which traded on the success of the Qashqai but still with more off-road chops than most of the competition. Now the X-Trail is getting on a bit, Nissan seem to be on a bit of a mission to keep interest alive, and are tapping in to some niche markets to keep sales buoyant.
Back in March, Nissan revealed the X-Trail 4Dogs, which aimed to tap in to the UK’s love for dogs with an X-Trail full of dog-friendly features like a bespoke travel space and built-in dog shower.
Now, Nissan are going after family adventurers with a new special edition X-Trail – the Nissan X-Trail X-Scape – which comes complete with its very own pet drone, so families can record their adventures for posterity.
Complete with ‘follow me’ GPS and visual tracking technology, the Parrot Bebop 2 gets Nissan branding and comes with a Skycontroller and Parrot cockpitglasses headset and 14 megapixel resolution, a flight time of 25 minutes and its own backpack storage case.
You can add the ‘X-Scape’ spec to N-Vision or Tekna trims across the range for £500, and it also comes with NissanConnect Infotainment with Sat Nav.
In case you’re desperate to have your own X-Trail with its very own pet drone, you’d better get a shake on. Nissan say there will be just 200 X-Trail X-Scape models available in the UK.
