Porsche Classic launches Car Care Kit for your classic Porsche

Porsche Classic has developed a car care kit for owners of classic Porsches, with everything from polish to clay, and all designed to care for older materials. Costs from £350.

Most classic car owners are paranoid about keeping their cherished car in perfect condition, so Porsche is tapping in to that paranoia by launching a special car care kit for owners of classic Porsches.

Porsche, quite rightly, point out that paint on classic Porsches is much softer, and that soft-top fabrics and other materials might not stand up very well to being attacked by modern cleaning materials.

So they’ve developed a range of products – all wrapped up in a configured leather bag – containing shampoo, cleaning clay, polish and hard wax, synthetic materials cleaner and an acid-free wheel rim cleaner.

All the products are carefully created to care for a classic Porsche so, for example, the polish abrasives have no synthetic materials, making it possible to get a great shine with no tiny scratches, and the wax has a 40 per cent carnauba content.

If you feel the need to get grab the Classic Car Care Kit from Porsche Classic, your UK Porsche dealer will be able to help, and you won’t be surprised to learn it’s not cheap – Porsche in Germany want €470, so Porsche UK will probably need £350.

But you do get it all in a nice leather bag.
