Porsche Macan S Diesel gets 300 PS from TechArt

The Porsche Macan S Diesel has been given a welcome performance boost by TechArt, adding an extra 42bhp and 66lb/ft of torque at the touch of a button.

There have been very few criticisms levelled at the very complete Porsche Macan but one area that could perhaps do with a bit of a tweak is the power of the Macan S Diesel. But TechArt now has that covered.

TechArt has now released a power kit for the Macan S Diesel which gives it the sort of power boost you might reasonably have come courtesy of Porsche in the first place.

The TechArt Power Kit is based on the TechArt Tecchtronic Engine Management System, and at a touch of the button to pop the Macan in to Sport of Sport plus it adds an extra 42bhp and 66lb/ft of torque to the mix, but when you’er not in Sport or Sport Plus the Macan uses the normal Porsche engine management system.

The extra power and torque means the Macan S Diesel can get to 62mph in a more appealing 5.7 seconds with top speed increasing to 147mph.

TechArt hasn’t revealed pricing for the power upgrade, but as long as it’s not too silly it will be a very sensible route for any Macan S Diesel buyer.
