Land Rover are revealing the Range Rover Evoque for the first time in public at the Paris Motor Show. And you can watch it LIVE on cars UK.

There are times when you believe the world and his dog must have seen a new car because you’ve been writing about it and publishing photos (and video) for what seems like forever.

The last car that engendered that feeling was the new Jaguar XJ. We’d run endless teasers prior to the reveal in July ’09 and endless stuff post reveal, by which time we felt everyone must have seen Jaguar’s new big Cat. But they hadn’t. And they still haven’t.

Park the new XJ on a High Street (as I did recently) and wait for ‘She who must be obeyed’ to exit the shops and you’ll get people walking backwards and forwards endless times, trying to be nonchalant as they eyeball the XJ; taps on the window – ‘It’s beautiful’, they’ll say. And it’s not just petrolhead guys either; women love the new XJ.

And you have to remind yourself that Joe Public hasn’t seen the XJ before. Just as Joe Public hasn’t seen the Range Rover Evoque.

The Range Rover Evoque has been ‘Coming’ for even longer than the XJ was. We’ve been running stories for years – literally – if you factor in the original Land Rover LRX Concept, which has seemingly changed little to become the Evoque. In fact, apart from the bonnet now saying ‘Range Rover’ instead of ‘Land Rover’, you’d be hard pushed to see any obvious differences.

But the Evoque still hasn’t had a public reveal. Which is why we’ve decided to run the first public reveal of the Evoque at the Paris Motor Show tomorrow (Thursday 30th) LIVE on Cars UK. Conveniently, it is also scheduled to run just before the reveal of the Jaguar C-X75, which we’re also running.

Interestingly, although we published spy shots of the 5 door Range Rover Evoque the other day (spy shots that were actually taken in Paris), the 5 door Evoque was only in Paris to show the ‘Trade’. You’re still only going to get the 3 door Evoque at Paris and it won’t be until the Los Angeles show in November that the 5 door Evoque will be revealed publicly.

So even though it’s just the 3 door Evoque on offer you may as well get along a bit earlier (8:30am BST, 9:30am CET, 0:30am West Coast, 3:30am East Coast) and crunch through your toast and juice to Land Rover’s webcast.
