The Renault Clio, Captur and Twingo Iconic have been launched in the UK as range-topping models with extra equipment and cosmetic upgrades.
December is not the best month of the year to be selling new cars (apart from to those with deep enough pockets to splash out on a new car for a Christmas gift) so car makes have to get imaginative to shift the metal. Hence a trio of new ‘Iconic’ models from Renault to tempt buyers to part with their cash.
Renault has released a trio of Iconic models – the Captur, Clio and Twingo – with cosmetic titivations, both inside and out, to make them stand out from their sibling models, and extra equipment too to add more reasons to splash the cash.
Renault Twingo Iconic
Based on the Dynamique trim, the Twingo Iconic comes with goodies like Cruise, DAB, Bluetooth, R&GO Smartphone Sat Nav, electric front windows and fogs.
Cosmetic stuff for the exterior includes ultraviolet Iconic decals up the side, 16″ Ultraviolet alloys (black alloys are a no-cost option) and a choice of four colours including Ultraviolet and Lunar Grey.
The interior boasts black part-leather upholstery with white and ultraviolet piping. Renault door sills, Twingo mats and a matt ultraviolet touch pack.
The Twingo Iconic can be had with either the SCe 70 or TCe90 engines and costs from £11,845 to 13,445.
Renault Clio Iconic Nav
The Clio Iconic Nav gets based on the Dynamique S trim and comes with 17″ Desire Alloys, chrome trim, privacy glass, cross-hatch decals on the door mirrors and a choice of four colours – Ivory, Diamond Black, Oyster Grey and Mercury – with the option of a cross-hatch roof decal to match the mirrors. Inside there’s GT part leather, heated front seats and splashes of cross-hatching.
The Clio Iconic can be had with TCe90 Stop & Start, dCi90 Stop & Start and dCi90 EDC engines and costs from £16,775 to £19,375.
Renault Captur Iconic Nav
The Captur Iconic Nav gets a two-tone exterior with a choice of six colour options – Diamond Black, Ivory, Cappuccino Brown, Oyster Grey, Stone or Mercury – with Black, Ivory or Cappuccino roof roof and 17″ Explore alloys.
Inside there’s Cappuccino part-leather, heated front seats, chrome highlights and Techno Pack, as well as the standard range-topping kit like parking sensors and privacy glass.
Engine choices are TCe 90, dCi 90, TCe 120 Auto, dCi 110 and dCi 90 Auto with prices from £18,395 to £21,195.
All three Renault Iconic models are now available at Renault’s UK dealers, with first deliveries expected before Christmas.
