The new Renault Koleos SUV – Renault’s new SUV based on the Nissan X-Trail – goes on sale in the UK priced from £27,500 to £34,200.
It’s over a year since the Renault Koleos was revealed as a new large SUV, joining the Captur and Kadjar in Renault’s SUV line-up, and it’s now finally going on sale in the UK priced from £27,500.That’s a chunk more than the Nissan X-Trail – with which the Koleos shares much of its underpinnings – but Renault will probably argue it’s better specced.
In terms of choice of Koleos models it’s not too complicated, with just two engine option and two trim levels on offer in the UK.
The cheapest Koleos engine option is the 1.6 litre dCi 130 with a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive, good for 57mpg say Renault (probably low 40s), with the more powerful, and expensive, 2.0 litre dCi 175 adding a seven-speed automatic option and four-wheel drive. And that’s it; no petrol options and no hybrid options either.
The trim offerings are similarly simple, with just Dynamic S Nav and Signature Nav on offer, with the Dynamic S Nav getting climate, USB, DAB, Sat Nav, 7″ infotainment, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, 18″ alloys, roof bars and electric folding heated mirrors.
The more expensive Signature Nav upgrades to 19″ alloys, LED headlights, heated seats, 8.7″ infotainment screen, panoramic roof, leather and automatic tailgate opening.
Price range from £27,500 for the Koleos Dynamique S Nav dCi 130 up to £34,200 for the range-topping Signature Nav dCi 175 Auto X-Tronic, plus options including Hands Free Parking (£400), Bose (£350), Leather (£400) and Metallic paint (545).
The new Renault Koleos is now on sale at Renault’s UK dealers, with first customer cars due in the summer.
