SEAT are running a new advert for the Altea XL, featuring a ‘Brother Monster’ who – however big he gets – still fits in to the Altea XL.
The SEAT Altea is really a jacked-up SEAT Leon. But it was a sensible crossover/estate thingy from SEAT which didn’t really mimic anything else available in the VW range. But SEAT dropped a bit of a clanger with the original Altea. It just didn’t offer enough space for the family looking for an alternative to an estate. So they bit the bullet and stretched the Altea to create the Altea XL.The Altea XL certainly offers more room – particularly more storage room – than the original Altea. They missed a trick by not making the back seats slide back more (they do slide forward to give a pretty big load space), but they did manage to address the storage issues.
And 2009 saw a facelift for the Altea – as well as the Leon on which it’s based – and SEAT have been running out adverts to promote it. They did one a little while ago featuring a 30-something couple getting their kit of by their Altea and running in to the sea. And now they’ve gone the ‘Honey-Monster’ route in the new ad – only they call their monster ‘Brother’.
It’s a bit daft – and designed to illustrate that the Altea XL will cope with a growing family – but it’s mildly amusing.
Thanks for the tip, Lydia.

No me gusta para nada el anuncio de la tele. Es demasiado corto y no es posible enterarse de que va realmente la historia.

un buen anuncio, o al menos para los que hemos tenido oportunidad de verlo en la web, porque el de television es basura
