Sitting at the entry point for Skoda SUVs, below the Kodiaq and Karoq, the Kamiq is Skoda’s second new offering this year, with the other new car, the Skoda Scala, influencing both the Kamiq’s looks and interior.
The Skoda Kamiq is being offered in four familiar Skoda trim levels – S, SE, SE L and Monte Carlo – with the entry-level Kamiq S coming with 16″ alloys, LED lights. Air Con, Swing Infotainment with DAB and 6.5″ infotanment. Prices start at £17,700.
Move up to the Kamiq SE and you get 17″ alloys, body-coloured bumpers, Bolero Infotainment with 8″ screen, Wireless Smartlink, Parking sensors, Cruise and auto lights and wipers. Prices start at £19,135.
Jump up the Kamiq trim tree another step to the Kamiq SE (from £21,180) and you get 18″ alloys, Amundsen Infotainment with Sat Nav and 9.2″ screen, Keyless and Blind Spot detection, with the Kamiq SE L getting black and silver microsuede upholstery, silver haptic inlays, and rear LED lights with dynamic indicators.
Opt for the range-topping Kamiq Monte Carlo (Skoda has yet to decide on prices for the Monte Carlo) and you get gloss black detailing, Panoramic Roof, 18″ Vega alloys, and LED ambient lighting.
Engine options are a 1.0 litre TSI with 94bhp or 113bhp or 1.5 TSI with 148bhp to cover the petrol offerings, and a single 1.6 TDI with 113bhp. All engine options can be specced with a seven-speed DSG ‘box.
The new Skoda Kamiq will arrive in Skoda’s UK showrooms in November.
