Vauxhall has launched a new extended warranty for use cars, available for cars up to 70,000 miles for one, two or three years.
Now Vauxhall are extending their enhanced warranty offer to use car with the launch of an extended warranty aimed to give owners of used Vauxhall’s a similar level of cover to new car buyers.
The new Vauxhall extended warranty is available for Vauxhall’s up to seven years old and which have covered less than 70k miles.
Offered as a one, two or three year warranty (and up to 100k mileage) the extended cover will cost you £259, £359 or £529 depending on the warranty period you choose. Which is actually pretty good value for money as it includes unlimited claims up to the value of your car.
Vauxhall are also throwing in a courtesy car if any repair takes more than a day and the cover is valid throughout Europe for 60 days a year. The warranty can also be transferred to any new owner for a £25 admin fee.
Let’s hope Vauxhall has done their maths properly, otherwise they’ll be stacking up even bigger losses for GM Europe.

I have recently purchased a second hand vauxhall which has an extended warranty on it. On trying to transfer the warranty they told me I could only do so if I purchased it through a private sale, which I did not. Not only does this not state this in your article, it also does not state it in their terms and conditions. Be warned!! The Warranty Group who deal with this also refuse to deal with me as I am not a customer of theirs, so I appear to be caught in a catch 22. I have today written to the Directos of the Warranty Group and will esculate to the FSA should I have not had a response in 8 weeks. Just be warned, it makes your vehicle less attractive if you are part exchanging it as they person your PXing to can not sell it with the extended warranty!!!
