
Volkswagen Look up!, CC Black Edition & Scirocco GTS Special Editions
Volkswagen has released special edition models of the up!, CC and Scirocco in the UK with styling tweaks and equipment upgrades.
As we often point out, the start of the new year isn’t the best of times for new car sales, so car makers usually resort to special edition models with styling tweaks and equipment upgrades to tempt buyers in to showrooms.This year, Volkswagen has delivered up a quartet of models to make buyers look more favourably on their offerings – particularly in the wake of the dieselgate problems – with an up! special edition – the VW Look up! – a Scirocco special edition – the VW Scirocco GTS – and a pair of CC special editions – the CC GT and R-Line Black Editions.
VW are keen you know that all the special models have enhanced styling and a rich mix of equipment, and represent keen value for money. So now you know
VW Look up!
Starting at the bottom of the price tree we get the VW Look up!, based on the Move up! it offers a set of 15″ Fortalexa alloys, unique interior trim, black foil decals and black mirror casings.
The stand out shout for the Look up! is the loud paint jobs, with a choice of Saturn Yellow, Tornado Red or Pure White, the Look up! gets £1,00 worth of extra equipment in its £9,995 price tag – just £70 more than the Move up!
VW CC GT and R-Line Black Editions
Based on the regular CC GT and CC R-line models, the Black Editions get a styling Pack with black front grill, electric folding sunroof, 18″ alloys (Lakeville alloys on the GT and Talladega on the R-Line) with Carbon Nappa leather, carbon fibre-look interior trim and piano lack insterts.
Both special editions cost from £29,150, £575 more than the non Black Edition models.
VW Scirocco GTS
The Scirocco GTS gets a 220PS petrol engine with a manual or DSG gearbox – and is good for 0-62mph in 6,5 seconds – with an R-Line bodykit, GTS badging, privacy glass and black mirrors.
There’s a choice of exterior colours – Urano Grey, Flash Red, Pure White, Oryx White, Indium Grey and Deep Black – with coordinated GTS stripes on the bonnet, roof and tailgate, and the interior gets R-Line trim plus Vienna leather, GTS logos, front sports seats and red stitching.
The VW Scirocco GT costs from £28,195 for the manual and £29,695 for the DSG.
