Kia has revealed price and specification for the 2013 Procee’d, starting from £17,495 for the Pro_cee’d 1.6 GDI S rising to £20,795 for the SE.

The new Procee’d comes in two trim options – S and SE – and with a choice of a 1.6 litre GDi petrol engine or 1.6 litre CRDi diesel, all with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard although you can opt for a DCT ‘box on the Pro_cee’d 1.6 GDi SE.
The 1.6 GDi offers 133bhp and 164lb/ft of torque, does 52.3mpg and takes 9.8 seconds to 62mph. Oddly, despite the engine specs remaining the same, the SE trim seems to get to 62mph 0.3 seconds quicker but only does 47.1mpg.
Equally, the 1.6 CRDi, which gets 126bhp and 192lb/ft of torque and does 74.3mpg, takes 11.5 seconds to get to 62mph, but manages to get there in just 10.5 seconds if you dig deep and opt for SE spec when you will only get 65.7mpg.
(Update: Kia tell us the reason the Pro_Cee’d SE is quicker is because it gets different gear ratios on 1st, 2nd and 6th)
The Pro_cee’d S comes with 16″ alloys, black cloth upholstery with fake leather inserts, leather steering wheel, handbrake and gear knob, auto lights, heated folding mirrors, Cruise, reversing sensors, AirCon, Bluetooth and the usual Flex steering settings of Normal, Comfort or Sport which changes the weight.
Fork out extra for the Pro_cee’d SE and you also get 17″ alloys, illuminated exterior door handles, Climate, auto wipers, 7″ touchscreen SatNav with reversing camera, Keyless and stainless steel door plates and pedals.
The 2013 Kia Pro_cee’d is now available to order from Kia dealers and comes with Kia’s usual 7 year warranty and the option of 3 years servicing for just £329.
