We get the more power from the Peugeot RCZ R – which Peugeot are calling a concept, but it’s on its way – which gets its 1.6 litre turbo engine from the MINI turned up to 260bhp, tweaked suspension, Torsen limited slip diff, smart new alloys and tweaks to the styling, inside and out. And it gets the same matt black and copper paint job as the Peugeot Onyx hybrid supercar.
Many of those tweaks are seen on the facelift for the 2013 RCZ where Peugeot has grafted its new nose on to the RCZ to make it a far better looking car. As well as the new front end and new grill there’s new LEDs and headlights and a lowered and extended air intake with chrome bars.
As well as the new nose – and very minor tweaks to the interior – the 2013 RCZ gets more personalisation options with a choice of three colours for the roof bars, a Black Pack option, stripes and decals, more alloy wheel choices up to 19″ and a Sports Pack which adds a smaller steering wheel and a louder exhaust.
The 2013 Peugeot RCZ facelift goes on sale in spring 2013 and there’s every likelihood the RCZ-R will follow by this time next year.
