The new Volkswagen Touran – debuting at Geneva 2015 and on sale in late 2015 – has been revealed, and it’s sharper looking, has more room and more technology than the current model.
The new, more upmarket interior also gets a new seating setup that allows the seats to be folded to create a flat floor, with 1040 litres of space with just the rearmost pair of seats folded and a massive 1980 litres with the middle row folded flat.
There’s new technology too with adaptive cruise and autonomous emergency braking and, just like other new VW models, the new Touran supports Google’s Android Auto and Apple’s Car Play integration.
Engine options for the UK Touran are a pair of petrols and a trio of diesels – claimed to be far more efficient than in the current Touran – with a 1.2 litre TSI turbo and 1.4 litre petrols, 1.6 TDI with 108bhp and the 2.0 litre diesel with either 148bhp or 187bhp.
The 2015 Volkswagen Touran will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week, but won’t go on sale in the UK until the end of 2015.
By which time it’ll be the 2016 VW Touran.
