2016 Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet sketch
The new Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet will debut at the Geneva Motor Show, and Mercedes are previewing it with this design sketch.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class range is about to get an extra model to add to the current saloon, estate and coupe with this, the new Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet. The C-Class Cabriolet is due to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in a couple of weeks, ahead of which Mercedes is previewing its arrival with a design sketch (above), just so we know the cabriolet C-Class is a C-Class Coupe without a roof. And looks just like the new S-Class Cabriolet. But smaller.
Apart from the strong family look, the new Cabriolet is expected to mimic what’s on offer in the new C-Class Coupe – which is no bad thing – but with a longer rear deck to accommodate the folding roof.
That means an interior which really is very good, exterior styling that works (as long as you don’t mind all your Mercedes models looking like a series of Russian Dolls), and plenty of choice of engines – and price points.
You can probably expect everything from an entry-level four-cylinder C200 Cabriolet, all the way up to an AMG C 63 S Cabriolet – including a hybrid version – with prices from mid £3k to mid £70k (and all points in-between) as Mercedes tries to offer a C-Class Cabriolet to suit all budgets.
The new Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month and go on sale in the UK this summer.
