2017 BMW 5 Series M Performance goodies arrive
The new BMW 5 Series will be available across the entire range with M Performance parts, with not just styling options but extra power too.
In fact you’re going to have to wait until February to officially order your new 5 Series, but at least you’ll now be able to tick the M Performance option boxers too.
As you’d expect, a chunk of the upgrades are cosmetic, with carbon fibre chin spoiler, rear diffuser, door mirrors and boot lid spoiler.
If you prefer you can have the same bits in black to go with the black kidney grille and two-tone 20″ alloys, but interior updates are a bit Hobsons with just a sports steering wheel on offer.
Beyond the cosmetic titivation there is also the option of a bit of performance enhancement too, with Performance Power Kit giving the 540i 350bhp and a sports exhaust.
If it’s diesel that floats your performance boat you can do the same to the 530d and get 288bhp (although not until summer 2017), and there are beefier sports brakes on offer too.
BMW aren’t saying what the M Performance bits are going to cost you, but if it was our money it’d be going on the extra performance, not the baubles.
