2017 Land Rover Discovery ‘5’
The 2017 Land Rover Discovery – the 5th generation of Land Rover’s big family SUV – has been revealed early by Land Rover’s own web site in Australia.
It’s been a long time coming, but the new Land Rover Discovery is finally about to be revealed later today ahead of its public debut at the Paris Motor Show. But someone working on Land Rover’s Australian web site got a bit ahead of themselves this morning and managed to post a photo (above) of the new Discovery in all its glory. Helpfully, Car Advice grabbed the image before Land Rover’s web man realised his cock up.
Of course, as this is Land Rover, a company that loves a tease or three of new product, we’ve seen plenty of the new Discovery already, from a couple of undisguised head-on shots to a sand dune adventure by way of Bear Grylls playing with its seat App.
Not only that, but we’ve seen the Discovery Vision Concept – a concept not too far off a production Discovery – so we know the new Discovery is sleeker, cleverer, quicker, more economical and more appealing than ever before, ready, willing and able to take the fight to the new King of the Castle Volvo XC90.
The real reveal for the new Land Rover Discovery – the one Land Rover actually planned – will be this evening.
