2018 Citroen C4 Cactus UK Prices and Specs announced

The 2018 Citroen C4 Cactus goes on sale in the UK with prices from £17,265 and featuring Citroen’s new ‘Progressive Hydraulic Cushion’ Suspension and Comfort Seats.

We liked the left-field take Citroen took with the C4 Cactus, but it was perhaps a bit more divisive than Citroen expected so the latest C4 Cactus – revealed in October – has gone a bit more mainstream.

Gone are the big air bumps on the side – to be replaced my more subtle ones on the sills, the front end now looks like the new C3 and it’s all more C4 Hatch than quirky and original.

Now we’ll find out if the car buying public has more appetite for the new C4 Cactus with its toned-down take on Citroen individuality as it goes on sale in the UK, with prices starting at £17,995.

Trim choice are Feel (from £17,995), Feel Edition (from £17,265) and Flair (from £19,865), with engine options the PureTech 82, PureTech 110 and PureTech 130, as well as the BlueHDi 100 with manual or 6-Speed EAT6 Auto gearbox options.

New to the C4 Cactus – and Citroen in europe – is the new Progressive Hydraulic Cushions™ suspension which, say Citroen, gives a ‘Magic Carpet’ ride which, coupled with the new Advanced Comfort Seats should give a modern Citron comfort like a real Citron did.

There’s also a strong focus on safety systems, with Active Safety Brake, Speed Limit Recognition, Lane Departure, Coffee Break Alert, Driver Attention Alert, Blind Spot, Park Assist, Reversing Camera, Hill Start, Cornering Fogs, Keyless and Grip Control all available.

There’s also a limited run Feel Edition with the Puretech 82 engine with manual gearbox, a spec based on Feel and adding Advanced Comfort Seats, 16″ Black ‘Square’ alloys, Red Interior Ambience, Deep Red Colour Pack and Polar White paint (although you can opt for Cumulus Grey, Platinum Grey, Obsidian Black metallic and a Pearlescent White).

The 2018 Citroen C4 Cactus is now on sale at Citroen’s UK dealers with first customer cars expected in April.
