The first photos of the 2013 4WD Porsche 911 Carrera 4 & 4S – coupe and cabriolet – have leaked out ahead of a Paris 2012 debut.
The latest version of the Porsche 911 (Porsche 911) arrived at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, and Porsche are planning to reveal the four wheel drive versions – the Porsche 911 $ and 4S, Coupe and cabriolet – at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
With the Paris show just a month away, we’ve been expecting Porsche to give us a reveal of the new 4 and 4S, but that official reveal has been blunted a bit by the leak of the first photos of the 2012 911 4 and 4S.
Our friends over at Teamspeed have this afternoon published the first five photos of the new 911 4 and 4S, which you can see below. As expected, there are few changes to the 4WD 911 compared to its 2WD siblings on the surface – save for the badges and the reflective strip at the back.
Under the bonnet the 4 and 4S will get the same engines as the Carrera and Carrera S, which means the new Carrera 4 will get the 3.4 litre flat six with 345bhp and the Carrera 4S the 3.8 litre flat six with 395bhp. Performance will be slightly blunted thanks to the 4WD powertrain and suspension modifications – but it’ll be close.
With the new Carrera 4 and 4S now leaked it seems likely Porsche will deliver the official details soon.
