Now, Toyota has announced that the GT86 TRD will be going on sale in the UK on 1st March and will cost £31,495 for the manual version and £32,995 for the auto.
The extra money pays for a more aggressive looking GT86 that’s had plenty of performance upgrades from TRD (the first time a Toyota has been sold in the UK with TRD parts on a specific production model), although the TRD bits on offer don’t tweak the power available.
The TRD package on the GT86 adds 18″ cast TF6 alloys (others are available), front and side skirts, a spoiler at the back, new exhaust system with quad pipes, a rear diffuser and ‘TRD’ stamped on the fuel filler cover and gear shift.
Performance remains unchanged at 7.7 seconds 0-62mph (8,4 seconds for the auto) and official economy changes marginally – 34.9mpg on the manual, 36.2mpg on the auto.
As already mentioned, the Toyota GT86 TRD goes on sale on 1st March 2013 at £31,495 for the manual and £32,995 for the auto, with just 250 car available in the UK.
