A hot Peugeot 308 Concept – the 308 R – has leaked ahead of a debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, probably with the 270bhp RCZ-R engine.

The Peugeot 308 R Concept (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt
The new Peugeot 308 only got an airing back in May, and it won’t get it’s official public debut until the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. But Peugeot are already planning a hot version.
The 308 R appears to get lowered suspension, a big set of alloys and a bodykit that adds butch bumpers, big sills, roof mounted spoiler and a pair of big exhaust tailpipes.
The paint job is red and grey, but with the front half of the car painted red and the back half painted matte grey. Which is a bit unusual, to say the least. How will that appear on your V5?
With the ‘R’ moniker tagged to the 308 instead of GTI, we’re guessing that this 308 has the 270bhp lump from the new Peugeot RCZ-R lurking under the bonnet, which should make cars like the SEAT Leon Cupra and Vauxhall Astra VXR sit up and take notice.
With photos out in the wild, it shouldn’t be long before Peugeot wakes up and confirms the 308 R Concept.
