The new Land Rover Discovery Sport – the first in a new family of Discovery models – will come with 7 seats as standard when it launches in 2015.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport shows it 7-seat layout
We already know that the Land Rover Discovery Sport will be replacing the Freelander in Land Rover’s range next year as the first in a family of Discovery models from Land Rover.
Land Rover are busy running prototypes of the new Discovery Sport, and to ram home the point that the new Discovery Sport is more flexible than its competition they’ve covered it in camouflage that looks like the skin of the car has been peeled back to show the 7-seat (well, 5+2) arrangement inside.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover’s Design man, said:
As you would expect from a Discovery, the versatile Discovery Sport will feature 5+2 seating in the UK, offering spacious load space and configurable seating, while still retaining a more compact footprint than traditional 5-seat SUVs.
We’re expecting the new Land Rover Discovery Sport – complete with its new Ingenium engines – to debut at the Paris Motor Show in October before going on sale in 2015.
