Ian Callum’s Jaguar Mark 2 goes in to limited production – costs from £350,000

The Jaguar MK II designed by Jaguar designer Ian Callum, and built by Classic Motor Cars Limited (CMC), is going in to limited production. Costs from £350k.

Jaguar designer Ian Callum has worked with Classic Motor Cars Limited (CMC) for more than a year to produce his perfect Jaguar Mark 2, and it’s been so well-received it’s going in to limited production.

Still looking like a Jaguar MK II – but with a few modern twists – Ian’s car gets integrated bumpers for a smoother look, louvres on the front wings, a set of split-rim wire wheels, an upgraded 4.3 litre XK engine, five-speed manual ‘box, upgraded suspension and brakes and a new interior.

To our eyes, the whole car looks incredibly homogeneous and not at all like the ruination of a classic, and that seems to be the feeling of Jaguar lovers round the world.

Within hours of Callum’s car being revealed, CMC had calls from classic Jaguar lovers round the world desperate to have exactly the same car CMC produced for Callum.

CMC were obviously keen to take the business, and fortunately for them Ian Callum was in agreement. He said:

I redesigned the car and CMC rebuilt it and reengineered it for my personal use. I wasn’t sure how it would be received but I have been both astounded and delighted with the response.

I am pleased that a few more cars are going to be built.

CMC hasn’t said how many of the ‘new’ Jaguar Mark 2 they will build, but of you want onc you’ll need to be prepared to cough up between £350,000 and £375,000, but you will get to choose the body and interior colours.
