2015 Toyota Prius+ now on sale – price from £26,995

The 2015 Toyota Prius+ – Toyota’s Prius MPV – was revealed in October with improvements across the board. It is now on sale in the UK from £26,995.

After a couple of years on the market, Toyota revealed a series of tweaks for the Prius+ MPV back in October, and although they’re relatively minor they do make the Prius+ a bit more appealing.

As you’d expect for a minor facelift, there’s an updated nose with a new grill and badge as well as new lights at the back, new surround for the number plate at the back and an integrated diffuser (that’ll help performance).

Inside, the new Prius+ gets a new dark silver metallic finish on the trim as well as Toyota’s Touch 2 Multimedia System and a new 4.2″ multimedia screen.

Under the skin, things are much the same with the 1.8 litre petrol and electric motor, which are now Euro 6 compliant, and offer official economy of 68.9mpg and emissions of 96g/km. But if you opt for 17″ alloys instead of the regular 16″ ones those figures change to 64.2mph and 101g/km.

The Icon and Excel trim levels continue, but there’s a new range-topping Excel Plus trim level available.

Standard equipment is good even on the entry-level Icon trim, with stuff like auto lights and wipers, DAB, Bluetooth, reversing camera. AirCon and Keyless all standard.

The Excel trim adds those gas-guzzling 17″ alloys, Cruise and Park Assist and the new Excel Plus throws in leather trim and rear entertainment with a pair of screens.

The new spec levels and tweaks have seen prices rise, with the Prius+ Icon costing from £26,995 (up by £850), the Excel £29,245 and the new Excel Plus £31,245.

The 2015 Toyota Prius+ is now on sale with first UK deliveries in January 2015.
