The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V has been revealed ahead of a debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January, with a 640bhp V8 and 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds.

Cadillac has pulled out all the stops to create a new CTS-V that takes the fight to European supercar saloons, like the BMW M5 and Mercedes E63 AMG, with its 2016 model.
That 640bhp means the CTS-V can now get to 62mph in a scant 3.7 seconds, and on to a top speed of 200mph, there’s a 25 per cent increase in rigidity, wider tracks, electronic limited slip diff, magnetic dampers, an 8-speed auto gearbox, high-performance Brembo brakes and 19″ alloys.
There are cosmetic tweaks too for the new CTS-V, with a more aggresive nose with bigger air intakes, a front splitter and carbon fibre bonnet, new back bumper, side skirts and a spoiler at the back, with an optional carbon fibre package adding carbon fibre for stuff like front splitter and back spoiler.
Inside is still a bit normal CSV low-rent, but you do get Recaro seats and microfibre suede upholstery and the option of some carbon fibre if you want it.
The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V goes on sale in the US in summer 2015, but there doesn’t seem much prospect of it reaching the UK.
