Citroen C4 Cactus W Special Edition – another Cactus Special Edition
Citroen delivers yet another special edition of the C4 Cactus, with the C4 Cactus W Special Edition offering all things white plus extra toys. Costs from £18,890.
Love it or hate it, the Citroen C4 Cactus is a hard car to ignore. From its ‘designed by a three year old’ looks and its big bumpers on the side, to its basic interior that looks like it never quite got finished, the C4 Cactus is quirky and divisive; a proper Marmite car.
For what it’s worth, we love the C4 Cactus, and we love it most in its most basic iterations where it provides spacious transport for a family at a cheap as chips price – under £13k as a starting point – without pretension or hype.
We’re not quite so keen when the price starts to rise, although we certainly see the appeal in a car perceived as basic and unpretentious coming with a raft of toys and posh paint jobs. Which is exactly what this – the Citroen C4 Cactus W Special Edition – is offering.
When you know the ‘W’ in the name stands for white, it’s no surprise the W Special Edition gets white door mirrors, white roof bars and white 17″ Cross alloys, as well as a Pearl White paint job and Dune coloured Airbumps on the side.
Based as it is on the range-topping Cactus Flair, the W comes with privacy glass, Sat Nav, Climate, colour reversing camera and a split folding back seat.
If the standard stuff isn’t enough you can fit a panoramic glass roof for £425 or part leather for £695. And if you’re already spending the best part of £20k on a C4 Cactus you may as well go the whole hog and tick the option boxes too.
Engine choices are limited to the PureTech 110 or the BlueHDi 100, with the petrol costing from £18,890 and the diesel from £19,620 and go on sale in Citroen’s UK dealers on Monday (1 August 2016).
