Pick up a new Jaguar, Land Rover or Range Rover when you shop at Westfield

Jaguar Land Rover are heading in to digital, showroom free sales with a new website for online sales and a new Rockar shop at Westfield Stratford.

It’s a couple of years since Hyundai started to embrace digital sales for their cars with a Hyundai Rockar store at Bluewater, which proved so successful they opened a second at Westfield in Stratford. And now Jaguar Land Rover is following where Hyundai led.

JLR prefer to see themselves as leaders as they’re the first Premium car maker in the UK to embrace this sort of new sales channel (which is a very fair point), but Hyundai’s success with Rockar must have piqued their interest in the model.

The new Jaguar Land Rover Rockar store will open in Westfield Stratford in October, but a new website to allow customers to go through the whole buying process online will launch on 7 September.

JLR are at pains to point out that the Rockar experience is complimentary to the dealer network, and that the Rockar ‘Angels’ allow for a new, no pressure buying model many find preferable, with the ability to order their new car at the Rockar store or later online.

Our retailers are investing £1bn in the UK network, and our partnership with ROCKAR represents some of the incremental new, innovative solutions that we are introducing to engage and serve our customers.

Not only will the Rockar store – and the new websites – allow you to spec up and order your new Jaguar or Land Rover, but you can also arrange part exchange and finance, and there’s a new service centre opening in Bow too to support the Rockar sales channel too.

It’s a brave new world for car sales, but we see no reason why JLR should find the Rockar route any less successful than Hyundai.

The Jaguar Land Rover Rockar store opens on 4 October 2016 at Westfield Stratford, and the two new websites – jaguar.rockar.com and landrover.rockar.com –  go live on 6 September 2016.
